“Atlantis” by Hamilton, Canada-based composer and multi-instrumentalist SØLYS (Michael Chambers) is an atmospheric, minimalist piano piece. The mellow, warm piano is supported by a rich atmosphere of ambient synth pads. It’s the perfect backdrop for sleep, meditation or deep concentration.
“Atlantis” is a rework of a track I released as moon:and:6 a while back. I always felt this track had such a wonderful flowing melody, and a type of weightlessness about it. Originally conceived to celebrate the Space Shuttle Atlantis, it also works as a tribute to the undersea world as well. I visualize light shimmering in the dark depths, and the sea creatures floating about in the enchanted waters.
