“Don’t Panic” by Hamilton, Canada-based producer and multi-instrumentalist SØLYS (Michael Chambers) is a new take on this classic Coldplay song. This slower, softer interpretation of “Don’t Panic” brings out the nostalgic and melancholy feel of the original song. The perfect backdrop for studying, concentration, or gaming.
“Don’t Panic” has been one of my favourite Coldplay songs since I first heard it over 20 years ago. I could never remember the title of this track as the words “Don’t Panic” don’t show up in the lyrics! I used to call this one “We Live In a Beautiful World.” Anyway, I was always drawn to the simplicity of this song, and how the melody and chords created such a strong, melancholy mood.
