“springtime” by Hamilton, Canada-based producer and multi-instrumentalist [zoethecat] is a laid-back, chillhop-inspired track based around a lazy guitar lick, smooth vibes and some jazzy chords layered with cool rain and nature sounds. Intended to evoke feelings of nostalgia and relaxation, it’s a perfect backdrop for chilling, studying, or just relaxing.

I love blending nature recordings with lofi beats. In “springtime” I’ve layered some soft rain and bird sounds over a relaxing, chill beat. Inspired by the sweet neo-soul influenced chord progression, I wanted to create a hopeful and nostalgic-feeling track that wants to be played on repeat.
