“Twilight” by Hamilton, Canada-based producer and multi-instrumentalist SØLYS (Michael Chambers) is a soft atmospheric composition built around a beautiful piano arpeggio and a simple melody. The piece sets the scene of a summer evening by the lake. The arpeggiated piano mimics the rolling of the waves, and the melody sits atop the arrangement with a lightness of a bird. As the track builds, shimmering synth sounds emerge like wispy clouds that add texture to the evening sky. It’s the perfect backdrop for studying, concentration, or quiet contemplation.
“Twilight” is my attempt to capture the beauty and introspection that’s found in the transitional moments of life.
